Get to Know Our Providers

Sarah graduated from USC with a Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked in infusion therapy and urgent care, which helped her prioritize strong patient relationships. Brio Primary Care has allowed her to build relationships and better serve her patients. She and her husband have four children and love spending time at the lake and cheering on the Carolina Gamecocks.

Elise received her Master of Science in Nursing at Clemson University. She was drawn to primary care because she loves the relationships she formed with her ICU patients as a nurse, and wanted to be able to build upon that as a primary care Provider. She loves spending time on the coast, skiing, and cheering on the Gamecocks!

Eve completed the Physician Assistant program at DeSales University. Following graduation, she practiced in the acute care setting for 4.5 years. She is excited to build relationships with her patients and partner with them to achieve their best health. She loves to travel and enjoys serving on medical mission trips.

Virginia Knight received her Master of Science in Nursing at Clemson University in 1996. She first dreamed of being a medical provider when she was in kindergarten! Her interest in Internal Medicine and her desire to be in a practice with work-life balance led her to primary care and Brio. Her goal is to promote optimal health with all her patients.

Beth completed her Physician Assistant program at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She was drawn to primary care because she can treat the patient as a whole and get to know them on their health journey. She has two children: Sarah and Josh and worked as an EMT during undergrad and graduate school!

Jennifer Walton, NP, received her Master of Science in Nursing at the Medical College of Georgia after attending Bob Jones University. Jennifer loves spending time with her son and their lab puppy. She loves to travel, having visited 16 countries and counting! She enjoys helping patients with heart health and blood pressure management.

Ellen completed the PA program at MUSC after graduating from Francis Marion University. She has a background in Gastroenterology. Ellen is originally from Florence, SC and some of her hobbies include watching her kids play football and basketball, walking, reading, and attending plays at the Peace Center.

Brantley was born and raised in Greenville, SC and has many years of experience working as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Most recently she has practiced Gastroenterology, but is passionate about her switch to primary care. She earned her degree from MUSC and is board certified. In her free time, Brantley enjoys working out at Orange Theory, biking, and being active in her church.

Caitlan was born and raised in Greenville and completed the PA program at MUSC after graduating from Clemson. While earning her degree, she spent a month in Uganda delivering babies. She has practiced Outpatient Psychiatry and Family Medicine as a Physician Assistant. She and her husband, Matt, are high school sweethearts and have been married since August 2020.

Dr. Bostrom graduated from Furman University, and received her doctorate in medicine from the University of Tennessee in 2005. She is board certified in Family Medicine and joins Brio with 10 years of urgent care experience. She believes in the mind/body connection and loves partnering with her patients to minimize the impact of disease on their lives. In her free time, she enjoys running, going to the lake, and family mission trips to Africa.

Dr. Baych received her MD from The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 2007, and she is board certified in family medicine. She comes to us with her last couple of years of experience in urgent care. Dr. Baych enjoys helping patients understand their chronic conditions and empowering them to become their best self. She enjoys family time, reading, playing tennis and trips to the beach!

Dr. Barrett completed her undergrad at Davidson College, and her medical education at UNC - Chapel Hill. Dr. Barrett completed her Family Medicine Residency at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in PA in 2004. She spent four years in the urgent care setting, and is passionate about helping patients in pursuit of healthy lifestyles and treating those with acute illnesses. Her hobbies include running, hiking, gardening, and camping. She loves spending time with her husband and 5 kids.

Haley Keith, PA-C earned her degree from MUSC. After graduating, she stayed with MUSC and worked in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Her most recent experience has been in Family Medicine. In her spare time she loves playing tennis, hiking, and being outdoors. Haley has even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.

Paige earned her degrees from Clemson University and started in the CCU at St. Francis before becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She worked in Internal Medicine for 3.5 years and spent another 7.5 years in cardiology. Paige enjoys home improvement, decorating, exercising, and boating and skiing on the lake. She loves spending time with her family and going to Clemson games.

Dr. Carter earned her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and then completed her residency at Greenville Health System. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. She enjoys time with her family, church activities and exercise.

Dr. Meade received a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and then completed residency at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and cooking.

Dr. Renfrow earned a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, followed by residency at Greenville Health System. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Her favorite pastimes include time with her family, church activities and exercise.

Stella is coming from St. Francis where she gained years of experience as a Hospitalist. Stella earned her degree from Clemson and is board certified by the ANNP. She has grown up in Greenville, and loves being outside with her family. Her hobbies include running, reading, and pickleball.

Vanessa received her FNP from MUSC. She is passionate about women's health, mental health, and acute / sick visits. She is a Gamecocks fan and enjoys biking, hiking, cooking, baking and drawing & painting. She and her husband, two children, and two German shepherds live in Virginia, where she loves and serves her patients through Televisits.

Karisa Kindy, PA-C, graduated from the University of Florida. Primary care practice allows her manage the patient as a whole. She loves to work with those who are ready to commit to their health and make a change. She is a huge sports fan, and even named her dog Rafa after Rafa Nadal. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. Karisa primarily sees patients at Harrison Bridge Road, but is available on Tuesdays at Bella Grove.

Susan Wells, PA received her degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She is especially passionate about women’s health. In her free time, Susan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, riding the Swamp Rabbit Trail, gardening, and music.

Sloane completed her undergraduate degree at Clemson University and earned her Physician Assistant degree from MUSC. She is originally from Columbia, SC and her hobbies include: hiking/being outside, baking, reading, and traveling. Sloane was drawn to primary care because of her belief in the importance of preventive care and establishing patient relationships as she guides them on their healthcare journey.

Meredith MacNeill, FNP-C, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical College of Georgia and then went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University. She is passionate about preventive care and working with patients on their nutrition and having a healthy lifestyle. When not at work, you can find Meredith outdoors, baking, and spending time with her husband and golden doodle, Kermit.

Jennifer Edwards, FNP earned her degree from Clemson University and is board certified through the AANP. She and her husband love attending and cheering on the Clemson Tigers football team with their two boys who are very active in sports year round! She also enjoys going to the beach, antique shopping, and ancestry research.

Dr. McAlpine earned his degree from MUSC and completed residency at UAB in Alabama. Both his grandfather and father went to Clemson, then MUSC, and then became General Internists in SC so you can say it runs in the family. In his free time he enjoys building, exercising, eating, backpacking, and cheering for his Clemson Tigers.

Katie Nattier earned a Physician Assistant's degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and is certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. Katie enjoys cooking, watching and playing sports, and spending time with her family.

After earning a medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, Dr. Greene completed her residency at Greenville Health System. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and in Clinical Lipidology. Her favorite activities are time with her family, travel and outdoor pursuits.
